HOGAN CAREER COMPASS REPORT
This is a narrative report based on an assessment of a person’s core value.
As an essential part of anyone’s career planning process; it can be used to choose an occupation or to identify the type of organisation in which a person would be most happy working.
The report details scores of 11 key motivators, values or work preferences, helping to draw up a clear picture of what careers or work environments would most excite or provide drive to the participant.
DEFINING CORE VALUES
Cluster I: Status Interests Recognition: A desire to be known, seen, visible and famous. Power: A desire for success, challenge competition and achievement. Hedonism: A desire for fun, excitement, variety and pleasure.
Cluster II: Social Interests Altruistic: A desire to serve others, improve society and help the less fortunate. Affiliation: A desire for frequent and varied social contact. Tradition: A concern about ethics, family values and devotion to duty.
Cluster III: Financial Interests Security: A desire for structure, order and predictability in life. Commerce: A desire for income, profits and business opportunities.
Cluster IV: Decision Making Style Aesthetics: A concern about style, appearance and fashion. Science: A desire to use data to make decisions and solve problems.
